What’s on an application to The EUL University? Below, we’ve laid out all of the questions on the application so that you know what to expect when you go to fill it out online. Complete Application Form

Tell us a little about yourself and we’ll help with the rest. Our convenient  application form only takes 10 minutes to complete.

Confirmation of Application

Once you have submitted your application, we will acknowledge receipt of your application by phone or email within two working days.

Application Review

EUL will review your application to confirm you meet our requirements. If so, you will then be asked to complete an interview as part of the review process.

Application Interview

Interviews are usually completed over the phone with a member of the Academic Team. The purpose of the interview is to get to know you better, hear about your future plans, understand why you are interested in the course, any particular papers you like and your understanding of the internship program.

Payment of Fees

EUL will issued an invoice for the balance of your first year tuition fees, due prior to the commencement date. On payment of this invoice you will be issued with a receipt of payment.

Admission Requirements

Undergraduate Requirements:

  • The Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent, with at least five (5) passes including English and Mathematics.
  • At least two principal passes obtained at the same sitting in Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) in any two of the Arts Subjects.
  • At least any second Class (lower division) diploma from a recognized institution.
  • Higher Education Certificate from a recognized institution and accredited by National Council for Higher Education (NCHE)
  • Mature Age Entry: Prospective students who are 25 years of age and above and have passed mature age examinations approved by NCHE with 50% and above may be admitted to the programme.
  • O-Level certificate (Uganda Certificate of Education –UCE) with 5 passes in approved subjects including a pass in English language or equivalent obtained in the same sitting.
  • A-Level certificate (Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education- UACE) with at least one principal pass and 2 Subsidiary passes at A-level in a relevant subject or equivalent obtained in the same sitting.


OR

  •  A certificate in a relevant subject from a recognized educational institution.
  • For a Diploma in Education (Primary), one must have a Grade III Teacher’s Certificate from a recognized institution (Only available for those upgrading to diploma) as pathway to Degree since Certificate courses in Education have been phased-out according to: The National Teachers’ Policy 2019.

For Foreign Students

  • For undergraduate foreign student applicants, prospective applicants whose high school grades are in percentages and average point systems which are not in the Ugandan system (i.e. from foreign countries/international students), would be required to have their grades equated or standardized with that of the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), or National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) before admission to EUL.

  • For the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), holders must have a minimum of C+ and above.

  •  

     A diploma or professional certificate in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution of higher learning.
